This is to inform you that, we have successfully begun with our new academic year 2018-19 from 5th April,2018 and will be having summer vacation from 30th April to 1st June, 2018 For . School will reopen on 04th June, 2018. i.e. (Monday). Attendance on 1st day is compulsory.

Kindly note the following:

  • Students will be having Half Day on 27th April, 2018 (Friday) school timing for Grade IV to VIII will be 8:30am to 12:30pm (First Five Periods will be conducted).
  • Because of Typo error 25th April, 2018 (Wednesday) is declared as holiday in the almanac. Kindly ignore as school will be working on 25th April, 2018.

The topics of the competition are as follows:

Dear Parents,

PDIS has organised “Christmas Party” for all the students on 22nd December, 2017 (Friday). Parents are requested to send their ward in Party wear. Here is an opportunity for your ward to be a Secret Santa for his / her friend, so you are requested to send a gift with proper gift wrapping ranging from Rs. 30 to 50.

On 22nd December, 2017 the students are required to bring the books for the first five periods only. The celebrations will be organized in school hours after their classes.

The students will have their Christmas Vacation from 25th Dec, 2017 till 1st Jan, 2018. There will be regular classes from 2nd January, 2018 i.e. (Tuesday).

Note: Attendance on the first day (i.e. 2nd January, 2018) is compulsory for all the students.

There will be no hobby class (Speech and public speaking) on 22nd December, 2017 i.e. (Friday).

This is to inform you that, PDIS has arranged one day picnic to Paradise Funland, Padgha on 17th November, 2017 i.e. (Friday). Students must report to school at 7.30 am sharp and will be dispersed at 4.30 pm.

PICNIC INSTRUCTIONS

  • Students must wear their regular school uniform and sandals.
  • Students must wear Lycra material T – Shirt & Shorts (inside their uniform). They should carry a napkin, water bottle, towel, cap, 3 carry bags, school bag and 1 set of undergarments.
  • To avoid mislaying of things students must name their belongings (uniform, shoes, socks, carry bags, school bag, etc...)
  • If your ward is having motion sickness, please give him/her medicine in advance.

  • A set of shlokas is given to the students along with this circular. Students should recite 5 shlokas from the given list with the meaning in their own words.
  • Participation is mandatory for the students of grade VI and VII

Dear Parents,

Wishing you all a Happy and Safe Monsoon. We have planned certain Hobby Activities for the students from Grade 1 to Grade 7 which will commence from 1st July 2017 and will conclude by 30th April 2018. The description and details of these hobbies are as follows. These activities are optional. The main idea is to encourage them to participate in the area of their interest and develop some additional skills along with academics.

  • Elementary Grade Examination: The students opting for this activity will be learning the basic skills required for drawing, painting, pencil sketching etc. these students will give ELEMENTARY GRADE EXAMINATION during September 2018 (next academic year).
  • Glass Painting:Students will get an opportunity to learn how to paint on glass surfaces to create nice paintings.
  • Calligraphy: It is a visual art to writing .It is the design and execution of lettering with broad tip instrument brush or other writing Instruments. “The art of giving form to signs in an expressive harmonious and skillful manner”.
  • Western Instrumental (Guitar and Musical keyboard): Trinity School of London conducts exams twice a year in the month of June – July and November –December for Advanced Level students.
  • Kathak: It is a famous classical dance style of India. Students will be giving examination at various levels such as Praramhic, Pragat, Madhyama and Padvika during the course.
  • Tae-Kwon-do ( Korean form of Karate): It is one of the most systematic and scientific Korean traditional martial arts, that teaches more than physical fighting skills. It is a discipline that shows ways of enhancing our spirit and life through training our body and mind. This game is popularising all over the world and is played by almost every country. No other martial art game other than Judo and Tae-Kwon-Do has been taken in Olympic games.

    We have invited Tae-Kwon-Do Association of Kalyan Taluka to conduct this programme for PDIS students. A batch of minimum 20 students is necessary for conducting this hobby activity
  • Gymnastics: Gymnastics is the sport activity which requires balance, strength, flexibility, agility, endurance and control. The movements involved in gymnastics contribute to the Development of the arms, legs, shoulders, chest and abdominal muscle groups. Alertness, precision, daring, self-confidence and self-discipline are mental traits that can also be developed through gymnastics.

    We are glad to announce that PDIS has invited a Bohir Gymkhana (Affiliated to Thane Zillah Gymnastic Association) coach to train PDIS students in Gymnastic skills.

  • Duration of song should not be more than 5 Min.
  • Preliminary round for Grade 1st to 3rd will be held on 19th June, 2017.
  • Students will come in regular school uniform for preliminary round, girls should bring leggings along with them.
  • Students who are selected in the Preliminary round will perform in the Final round which will be held on 30th June, 2017.
  • Students should bring the song in the pen-drive with the name and grade mentioned on it.
