SUB : Christmas Celebration

Dear Parents,

As mentioned in the almanac, School will be working on 22/12/18 i.e. Saturday for all the grades. Timing for Grade I-II 9:30am-12:30pm and for Grade III –VIII 8:30am-12:30pm.

Students should bring Friday’s timetable. Students should wear decent party wear on account of Christmas Celebration.

Here is an opportunity for your ward to be a Secret Santa for his/ her friend, so you are requested to send a single gift with proper gift wrapping ranging from Rs. 30 to 50.

The students will have their Christmas Vacation from, 24th Dec, 2018 till 1st Jan, 2019. There will be regular classes from 2nd Jan, 2019 i.e. (Wednesday)

NOTE : Attendance on the first day (i.e. 2nd Jan, 2019) is compulsory for all the students. There will be Abacus class for abacus students on 22nd December, 2018 i.e. (Saturday) from 12:00pm -1:30pm. No bus facility will be provided for Abacus students for Dispersal.

SUB : MR Vaccination

Dear Parents,

This is to bring to your notice that, Measles is highly infectious, potentially fatal disease mostly affecting children and Rubella is a mild viral infection affecting both children as well as adult. To eliminate Measles and control Rubella and congenital Rubella syndrome Government of India has introduced Measles- Rubella (MR) Vaccine.

The Measles Rubella (MR) Vaccination campaign will be conducted on 13th December, 2018. (Thursday) in the school premises at 10:30am Sharp.

It is mandatory for all the students to take this vaccination. Parents are requested to fill the consent form and send it by 12th December, 2018 (Wednesday).

Instructions

  • Regular F.A will be conducted on 13th December, 2018 (Thursday) from 8:30am to 9:30am.
  • Students appearing for IMO exam will have their exams from 9:45am to 10:45 am.
  • Parents need to come at 10:30am sharp to accompany their ward for vaccination.
  • Children need to carry heavy and healthy breakfast. Canteen facility will be available for those who have availed it.
  • Bus facility will be provided only for pickup those who have availed for it.
  • No regular classes will be conducted on 13th December, 2018.
  • Those students who are suffering from cold or fever will not be vaccinated.

SUB : Annual Sports Day

Dear Parents,

This is to inform you that the 6th Annual Sports Day 2018-19 is scheduled on 08th December, 2018 (Saturday) at Dombivli Gymkhana, P-9, MIDC Phase 1, Dombivli (E) 421201.

Instructions required to be followed for the Annual Sports Day:

  • Reporting time will be 8:00 am sharp in the school premises, and the dispersal will be by 12:30 pm from the venue.
  • Regular transport services will be provided by the school to the regular transport students.
  • All the students should come in their P.E uniform and white canvas shoes. The school I.D is compulsory. Students should also bring a water bottle and some healthy snacks.
  • Parents need to carry the invitation card along with them for entry at the gate.

Reporting time to school: 7:45 a.m.

Dispersal time from school: 5:15 p.m.


Important Note:

  • Students should wear regular school uniform. They should carry one set of napkin towel, water bottle & some dry snacks.
  • I-card should be strictly worn by the student.
  • Do not carry any valuables/money.
  • School bags are not allowed. Students can carry any other bag.
  • If your ward is having motion sickness, please give him/her medicine in advance and send an extra pair of uniform.

Dear Parents,

PDIS is organizing its Annual Exhibition I3 on 7th and 8th September, 2018, the students have been allotted Exhibition duty. You are requested to make a note of the points given below:

Reporting particulars:

  • Attendance during the Exhibition duty is compulsory.
  • The timings for the students on these days will be from 8.30 am till 3.10 pm For Grade III to VIII and 9:30 am till 3:10pm for Grade I & II.
  • Students will report to school in their regular school uniform with I-card & need to carry Lunch box, Breakfast & a water bottle along with them.
  • Transport facility & Canteen facility will be available for those students who have availed for the same.
Also Note:

  • Grade I & II will have holiday on 6th September, 2018(i.e.) Thursday for the preparation of Exhibition.
  • Hobby classes will not be conducted on Thursday & Friday (i.e.) 6th & 7th September, 2018.
  • Parents need to carry the Invitation card along with them as entry for the exhibition is not allowed without this card.
  • Parents are requested to visit the Exhibition before 1:00pm. Exhibition entry will be closed by 12:30pm.
  • Kindly make a note that the students will be dispersed only at 3.10 pm. Parents are requested not to apply for early dispersal of students during the Exhibition duty.
  • On 10th September, 2018 (Monday), the students will take a tour of the entire exhibition. Hence, they should report to the school as per their regular school hours i.e. For grade I and II 9:30am to 3:10pm and grade III to Grade VIII 8.30 am to 3.10 pm (No extra class for Grade VI to VIII).

So, to enhance the vocabulary and word power of the students, PDIS is giving an opportunity to its students to participate in Spell Bee competition organized by Spell Bee International in association with I.N.D.I.A TRUST, a National Non Public NGO.

To bring out orating skills and also to develop confidence of presentation among the students, PDIS has organised an Elocution Competition for the Primary section on 4th August, 2017 (Friday) during the school hours.

Dear Parents,

Kindly note the criteria for solo singing competition organized by Dombivli Gymkhana, as it is mandatory for the participants. The preliminary round for the same will be conducted on 25th July, 2018 in the school.

Important Note:
Participants should not mention school name before or after their performance. They should not wear school uniform for this competition.

Details of Solo singing competition:

  • For solo singing competition participant can choose any Devotional songs which are composed by Shri. Sudhir Phadke a great singer or Shri. P.l. Deshpande (पु.ल. देशपांडे) a great writer or Shri.G.D. Madgulkar (ग. िद. माडगुळकर )
  • Every participant will get maximum 7 min. for his/ her performance.
  • The song should be accompanied by the appropriate musical instruments.
  • Arrangement of musical Instruments should be taken care of by participants.
  • The results declared by the judge will be final.

Note: Parents are requested to follow the following procedure for Installation of Insync2 software for Android, Apple & Windows Phone.

  • Step 1. Download insync2 app from your mobile app store e.g.: for android user go to play store and type insync2 to install.
  • Step 2. Registration of the App:
    After installation, Click on app—
    1. Select Educational Institute as PDIS Primary/Secondary/Pre-primary as applicable. For e.g. If your ward in is Nursery, Jr.KG or Sr.KG select Pre-primary, for grades 1 to 7 select Primary, for grade 8 select secondary.
    2. Parents can access the mobile application with the Registered (parent) mobile number.

Dear Parents,

Wishing you all a Happy and Safe Monsoon. We have planned certain Hobby Activities for the students from Grade 1 to Grade 8 which will commence from 18th June 2018 and will conclude by 19th April 2019. The description and details of these hobbies are as follows. These activities are optional. The main idea is to encourage them to participate in the area of their interest and develop some additional skills along with academics.

  • Elementary Grade Examination: The students opting for this activity will be learning the basic skills required for drawing, painting, pencil sketching etc. these students will give ELEMENTARY GRADE EXAMINATION during September 2019 (next academic year).
  • Glass Painting: Students will get an opportunity to learn how to paint on glass surfaces to create nice paintings.
  • Calligraphy: It is a visual art to writing .It is the design and execution of lettering with broad tip instrument brush or other writing Instruments. “The art of giving form to signs in an expressive harmonious and skillful manner”.
  • Western Instrumental (Guitar and Musical keyboard) : Trinity School of London conducts exams twice a year in the month of June – July and November –December for Advanced Level students.
  • Gymnastics:: Gymnastics is the sport activity which requires balance, strength, flexibility, agility, endurance and control. The movements involved in gymnastics contribute to the Development of the arms, legs, shoulders, chest and abdominal muscle groups. Alertness, precision, daring, self-confidence and self-discipline are mental traits that can also be developed through gymnastics.

We are glad to announce that PDIS has invited a Bohir Gymkhana (Affiliated to Thane Zillah Gymnastic Association) coach to train PDIS students in Gymnastic skills.
